CLP = Certificate of Legal Profession is not an easy exam. It's not something you can do it LAST MINUTE, it's also not something then you can pile up your work and do 'later' because by the end of the course, and before exam.. you will realise that you have TOO MUCH to read, understand and remember them.

Apart from that, we must also practice doing all the past years questions .. not to spot.. but to familiar with the questions and also the flow of it.. what kind of things to write.. how to contruct your words, sentences and paragraph....

Lawyers who did CLP before told me that by the end of CLP, you already know around 700-800 cases which equal to what we did for our LLB. However, it's different now coz we need to know all these cases within 9 months....

CLP consists of 5 papers:
(1) General Paper - (i) Tort , (ii) Contract [2 subjects in 1 paper]

(2) Professional Practice - (i) Advocacy and Duties of Counsel , (ii) Ethics of the Legal Profession
(iii) Land Law and Conveyancing , (iv) Probate and Administration of Estates , (v) Law of Bankruptcy [5 subjects in 1 paper]

(3) Criminal Procedure

(4) Civil Procedure

(5) Law of Evidence

There is nothing about spotting questions... no such things as focus only on SOME topics... it's all about studying everything... *sigh*... it's not like when we were doing degree....

Up til now, I've done with Tort, Probate and Criminal Procedure lectures... and right now Im attending Evidence Lectures.

My tutorials are as follows:
Monday, 6.30pm - 9.30pm : Evidence
Tuesday, 6.30pm - 9.30pm: Criminal Procedure

So, basically my everyday schedule is:
Monday: Work + Tutorials
Tueday: As above
Wednesday: Work
Thursday: As above
Friday: As above

and Saturdays: 2pm - 7pm (Lectures)
Sunday: 9am- 2pm (Lectures)

Im not showing off about HOW tough my subjects are, not about how tired I am, not about how many things I have to do...... I just want my close friends to know and understand... I'm very stress and also basically, I dont have much time for entertainment.

Maybe some of you might think I should actually stop working but right now I think my work is helping me because CLP is about practical things. You can't just memorise the thing without knowing how it actually works. Working in a Law Firm makes me understand something better and the most important thing is my 2 bosses help me a lot in my studies. They will make me study in the conference room and I got to memorise and they will ask me without me looking at my notes. So, I wont give up on my job right now.

That's why, I have to sacrifice my time going for a shopping, yum cha and even my sleep.

Nowadays, I sleep at 1am and wake up at 7am. It's tiring but I need to study. Not being a nerd but CLP is an exam that you wouldnt want to take it for 2nd time.

I cant go yum cha with my friends after work.. not because I anti social.. not because I don't give face, it's because if I spent too much time outside, when I got home, I will be VERY tired and my bed would be calling me. For those who is not working + studying, after yum cha, they can just go to bed but I cant do that.

So, for my friends.. I just hope that you all can bear with me for another 8 months and I will be free.

Rushing here and there.... up and down the highway for deeparaya hols, helped my er jie and visited grandma.. the journeys were tiring...what more to say when the next day you need to go to work and evenings you need to attend tutorials + weekends for lectures?

Have been drinking Wong Lou Kat to prevent myself from falling sick.... Yesterday went for class and it was raining VERY heavily when I came out from the LRT station..luckily I had a little umbrella with me.. but half of my body still got wet... 3 hours in the class with gooseberry wasnt a good indication.... when I got home.. I realised Im having fever... and went to see doctor at 12am...

The doctor is the most stupidest doctor I have ever seen... anyway, I still took his medicine...

After typing this.. I gonna eat porridge..then come back and do some reading or do some questions.... then head to the bed for a good rest...

Weather is not so good nowadays, be it you are in UK, Australia or Malaysia... drink more water!!! really need a lot of water ok!!!...

Hi there....

Currently, I have a busy life....

Grandma fell down yesterday and hurt her knees... I took 2 hours leave and rushed all the way to Melaka to see her and once I found out that she is not as bad as I imagined, I felt so very relieved.

My bosses were good enough to let me go and shoo-ed me away but I just couldnt go off just like that because I need to prepare bundle of documents for my Boss to go to the court today. So I left office around 3pm.

I feel so tired today and everyone in the office can really see it through my eyes... and I didnt realise I fell asleep for 1 hour after lunch time and no one actually woke me up....

2 files are thrown to me today... one is to finish by this friday and another by next thursday... getting headache now coz all are lawyers work and..... they just ask me to do it coz they want me to learn new and more things. Good in that sense... but Im running out of time to STUDY..damn it....

These few days were so tiring.. went to distribute leaflets from house to house in Seremban2 last Sunday coz my sister's montessori kindergarten is opening for January intake 2007... and Im darker now and falling sick.. luckily I drank "Wong Lou Kat" for the last 2 nights....

Actually, I'm not very sure what Im typing now.. just typing whatever in my mind.. sorry for this "unstructured" post...

I think I better do some studying before heading to my bed....
